It has been since October since I have written anything on tis blog; however, I hope to maintain this information and website and bring you some of the qaulity writings that I have made over the years. Twin Flames and Gender Differences : by Donny Gillson
I have decided to take Directed Study #5 in a personal direction as I make a discovery on the subject of Soul Mates and Twin Flames. Over the years there have been many different types of myths associated with the male/female gender; such as, how girls learn better from female teachers and that role models surely come from the same sex. I would consider that true from a certain point of view; however, if we look at gender myths in a scientific way we may say that women are qualitative and men are quantitative. For example, women are less likely to do things that are more based on the male stereotypes like baseball or football; in fact, the World Health Organizational had a study stating that “Masculinity may be hazardous to your health.” Which would explain why women are not as closely involved in dominate physical sports as their male counterparts are. Taking a look at this I had to ask myself why and how this would play out if I investigate what the true meaning of “Twin Flames” are in modern day society. Some of the myths I have discussed earlier are based purely on gender differences; however, where do they come from and why do they continue? I guess you may have to look back into history to come up with a solid conclusion.
Napoleon once stated: “Women are our property we are not hers because she produces children for us – we do not yield any to her. She is therefore our possession as the fruit tree of the gardener.” additionally there have been researchers throughout the years that have backed this quote by stating women are “closer to children and savages than to an adult civilized man.” (Le Bon, 1879) I found this shocking. Having been raised by a woman and always had a chivalry style approach to my relationships with women if I did not pay respect to a woman I heard it from my grandmother in a tone that was not too pleasant. Taking these ideas into consideration I started to draw upon something Plato mentioned about 2500 years ago when it came to men and women. He stated “And when one of them meets with his other half, the actual half of himself, the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy and one will not be out of the other’s sight even for a moment.” So, I continued to ask myself why we have such division between men and woman if they are really just a mirror of our own self. Being a Freemason I had to go back to some of the teaching of my fellow Masonic brother Edgar Cayce where he spoke about in the beginning of space and time “male and female were as one.” Cayce like to describe the times of Atlantis where civilization had a much better grasp on the significance of gender and what their roles truly were. A passage in one of our Masonic books In his historical description of Atlantis, “there lived in this land of Atlantis one Amillius, who had first noted the separations of the beings as inhabited that portion of the earth's sphere or plane of these peoples, into male and female as separate entities or individuals." Could this have been the cause of why we search so long for the right person in our life that; in fact, we have a counterpart that mirrors us in everyway; our Twin Flame.
We have all heard of Soul Mates over our life time and by definition these are souls that we have met and lived with over many different life times; however, the concept of a Twin Flame has not really been come to the forefront in mythological gender differences. This concept would mean that the Twin Flame is based on a Divine Being, God, All that is, Source, and Creator. That when God created the Heavens and Earth he also created intelligent life as One Unit and this Unit had a final splitting at some point which created male and female halves of a whole, The Twin Soul. I found this to be quite fascinating information to come across because I too have felt emptiness within my own soul; yearning for the other part to come and make me whole once again. There is much confusion about twin souls and soul mates and what their particular differences are. I guess the best way to describe them both is that one can have many soul mates throughout ones life; however, there is only one true twin soul. I believe that most relationships on our planet spawn out of the ego and based on relating patterns, fears and superficial type judgments. But this is just a myth as well; in fact, our ego really keeps us away from finding true love or being true to our heart.
Over the past several years we have learned about the “Law of Attraction” and how we can manifest things by the power of thinking. In my investigation for a male and female (Twin Flame) to find one another in perfect harmony one must live within the laws of vibration and that God created Twin Flames at the moment of creation; like I mentioned earlier. In order to live within the mythical Laws of Vibration, Twin Flames will not be able to come together unless they could meet one another in perfect love. If you believe in God this is an exciting thought because no matter what within the laws of the universe you will be connected to you Twin Flame at some point; it is just a matter of when and how. Carl Jung detailed the understanding of Twin Flames within his Archetype structures; for example The King/Queen. The Warrior, The Magician, and The Lover and if you are able to find what type of Archetype you are naturally you would be able to find your Twin Flame as well. In addition to this I learned that Carl Jung had a basic understanding of four different types of relationships that could lead you down the path to your Twin Flame.
Some of the fundamentals keys that Carl pointed out where that you must have opposites in personality intensity, have an equality in power and life experience, being able to both recognize power shifts and be able to compensate, and finally both partners must be mentally stable and able to operate independently; a footnote this is probably why I have not yet found my own Twin Flame. I think these four reason really debunk the mythical idea the girls are feminine and guys are masculine. And the most important part of this entire essay is to understand that the Mythology behind the “Twin Flame” is one of great importance and that everyone soul is one half of the Divine feminine and one half of the Divine masculine. One of the myths about “Twin Flames” is that they have come back to the earth to walk the world back to love. That they have made a conscious choice to experience duality, by suppressing the ego and all of its barriers so that love may return in all of God’s glory. God calls this experience “The Real” the “higher dimensions” in our spirit. I find this to be very promising especially during the turbulent times that our world is currently experiencing. But the only way for this to work is that both male and females must open their hearts to the energies of their Twin Flame and simply allow love to flow through them like they have never experienced before. This is where the difficulty comes in because according to gender myth we have a masculine and feminine problem here. Men are taught not to express their feelings as deeply as women are taught to. So, I ask you how to we over come this barrier?
I am uncertain; however, I truly have hope in man kind that we can somehow unify ourselves into one perfect consciousness of Love. > >What I find very fascinating as I explore this mythological process is that the chance of meeting the other half of our soul would be just earth shattering and would place all other thoughts to the wayside. But as I mentioned before it is impossible for us to be connected to our Twin Flame if we are weighted down by the materialism of life. We must learn all the lessons of love, loss, and pain before we can set out the vibration to attract our Twin Flame. In an article entitled Twin Souls, Twin Flames, and Soul Mates at www.harusami.com. I thought it would be fitting to take a passage stating “Each half will find balance in their male/female, yin/yang before union. When both halves of the Soul become strong pillars on their own, have healed and resolved karmic ties in the present life, then they can unite to fulfill their Divine purpose.” The article continues to talk about how the challenges do not end there and you will go through many different changes until the work is actually done; however, at some point love will conquer all. This was very comforting to me and made perfect sense. > >The thought of this reminded me of something else Dr. Jung spoke about at that is of synchronicity which is the coincidental occurrence of events and especially psychic events. Could this play an important role in how genders synchronize with one another when it comes to finding ones Twin Flame? If you want my personal opinion I think that synchronicity is really just a way of God grabbing our attention and slapping up awake to the real realities that we face.
I believe that God guides us within our hearts and helps us along to find the divinity of our mirrored flame on a consciousness so deep that we are unable to explain it in any context. I believe that everybody on this earth is coming closer and closer to their so called “Twin Flame”; weather they like it or not. This was a journey set out from God well before we were born; however, the identity of this soul is not known to us. And it you could meet this person in this life or the next. I think we need to take a serious step back and reflect upon what makes our genders different and how we can unite them as one. Because, in time, each one of us will come to a point when a very serious choice and commitment has to be made in order for them to awaken or evolve to a higher consciousness. I believe that this is happening on our planet today. Our Creator is setting up the perfect storm to reunite Twin Flames across the globe to give us a better planet filled with peace and harmony; Love. Sufis explained over 800 years ago that “Out of the original unity of being there is a fragmentation and dispersal of beings, the last stage being the splitting of one soul into two. And consequently, love is the search by each half for the other half on earth or in heaven.” I truly believe this quote hold true today; even though, we have some many myth towards gender in the long run really we are just one unified soul. We must remember that and awaken to our destiny of Light. Because when we all finally “wake-up and smell the coffee” and begin the journey home to our Creator. We will no longer have any need for gender myths; in fact, we will no longer have any need for our Earth like existence or feelings. I believe we are heading towards a 5 dimensional earth which will ultimately reunite all of us as the original “One”. >So mote it be.
